The Taylor County Adult Literacy Council provides financial support for the West Central Texas Adult Education classes. Donations from individuals and businesses provide assistance and encouragement to adults who are working to better their lives by pursuing their education or improving their English language skills.We offer scholarships to pay for the TXCHSE (or GED) exams and bus passes. We also provide a graduation ceremony and reception each year.
Our council welcomes anyone interested in providing adults a “second chance” at education to join our organization. We meet at noon on the 2nd Monday of the month at the Alta Vista campus, 1921 South 11th. For more information, please email us at: adultlitco@gmail.com or call 325-674-1714.
