Mental Health Nurse Supervisor

This position performs clinic supervision and nurse practice duties.  This position is responsible for the day to day supervision of the Medical clinic staff and nurses and ensuring a positive patient experience.  This duty includes supervision of the clinic nurses working in the Adult and Children clinics to include MH and IDD.  This position is also responsible for the managing and monitoring of the Patient Assistance and Sample storage areas.  This position is responsible for the supervision of the Center Patient Assistance program.  This responsibility includes developing a process that assures every eligible individual applies for Patient Assistance.  This position involves establishing program goals and objectives; developing program guidelines, procedures, policies, rules, and regulations; developing schedules, priorities, and standards for achieving program goals; evaluating program activities; developing and evaluating budget requests; and coordinating program activities.  This position is also responsible for following all funding source standards related to service provision.  Services are provided and delivered throughout the Center’s catchment area.  Services are provided at both Center owned sites and sites loaned or leased to the Center either in person or via telemedicine technology. This position will report to the Center Chief Clinical Officer.

Qualifications:

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse with 3 years of supervisory experience preferred or Licensed Vocational Nurse  with at  lease five (5) years of supervisory experience in a hospital or clinic setting.

• Position requires effective communication skills (writing and speech); and demonstrated leadership ability. 

• Duties of the position require advanced computer skills using basic office software (Excel, Word, Outlook). 

• Must have a valid Texas Drivers’ license and be an insurable driver. Driving is an essential function and employees must maintain an acceptable driving record/insurability while employed.

Hours for this position are Monday - Friday, 8am-5pm, flexible.

This is a Full-Time position. Benefits are available.

Will be eligible for a one- and two-year step increase, depending on satisfactory performance.
