*Start at $38,063.29 / annually, eligible for step increase to $39,336.37 after one year of successful employment and obtaining EIS credential. Eligible for 2nd step increase to $40,609.45 after 2nd successful year of employment.
This position operates generally in areas within the city of Abilene & Taylor County with additional service provision in outlying counties as assigned. Service Coordination Duties: including initiating Targeted Case Management activities and providing effective coordination and review of all therapeutic developmental/treatment service and community resources to maximize their benefit for children & families via the appropriateness of service levels. The following duties are as needed: Development Duties: responsible for the full range of planning, periodic assessment to determine progress written progress updates, and the full range of instruction and modeling for the child, caregiver, parent, and any other involved and/or concerned with the child’s developmental progress. Other developmental duties include parent education and supports to enable families to reinforce the strategies of their Individualized Family Service Plan. Enrollment Duties: including the formal enrollment activities of evaluation for eligibility determination in cooperation with enrollment team members. The position operates within all applicable Center, Program, and funding source requirements, working under the supervision of the ECI Director with some latitude in the use of initiative and independent judgment. Coordinator must meet established performance targets. Professionalism in the position is mandatory.
-Prefer a Texas-licensed candidate such as LBSW, LMSW, LPC, Early Intervention Specialists (EIS), certified teachers in Early Childhood but will also accept candidates with a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree with at least 18 hours attributable to early childhood development.
-If necessary, must complete ECI’s Competency Demonstration System within 18 months of hire for EIS credential.
-Desire some experience with the pediatric population and with families.
-Must be computer savvy; possess positive interpersonal skills and excellent oral and written communication skills.
-This professional will have the ability to successfully function independently as well as within a team concept.
-Must be easily adaptable in a changing work environment, have solid organization skills, and be task-completion and detail oriented.
